June 1, 2016 – From discussions on negotiations and mediations, to a presentation on guardians ad litem, to variable costs, and a 101 on family law, get all the latest updates in family law at the 35th Annual Family Law Workshop.
Lawyers, judges, and family court commissioners are invited to attend the workshop on Thursday, Aug. 4, to Saturday, Aug. 6, 2016, at the Stone Harbor Resort & Conference Center in Sturgeon Bay.
Two Tracks for New and Experienced Practitioners
Program sessions include updates in case law and legislation, hot topics and tips for beginning family law practitioners, the latest tips for parenting coordination, and retirement plan nuts and bolts.
On Friday, choose between Family Law 101 for attendees newer to family law or those wishing to review the basics, and Family Law 201 for intermediate to experienced family law practitioners. All come together for combined programs Thursday and Saturday.
Thursday Reception and Friday Cruise
Relax Thursday evening at the complimentary patio cocktail reception, and stay for Friday’s sunset cruise. Enjoy the scenic waters of Door County aboard a historic vessel, the Chicago Fire Boat. Guests are welcome, but space is limited, so register now.
CLE Course Materials
CLE course materials are provided in PDF format and will be downloadable from WisBar.org’s myStateBar prior to the event. The number of CLE credits will be determined by the Board of Bar Examiners, including EPR credit.
Local family court commissioners and judges are encouraged to attend, as the State Bar will also apply for judicial legal education credits.
