Admission to practice

The Supreme Court requires lawyers to be admitted to the Supreme Court and join the State Bar of Wisconsin as a condition of practicing law in the state. For complete information and requirements visit the “For attorneys” section of the Wisconsin Supreme Court website.

Certificates of Good Standing

The State Bar of Wisconsin does not issue Certificates of Good Standing but they may be obtained from the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Learn about the process and fees on the Wisconsin Supreme Court website.
