Assistant Ethics Counsel

The State Bar of Wisconsin is in search of an attorney with practice experience to provide information and guidance to State Bar members on issues of professional conduct. This full-time position will work closely with our Ethics Counsel to develop new and enhanced resources for our members, including the production of a Wisconsin ethics manual addressing State-specific ethics issues; research and write ethics opinions to guide behaviors; and help staff our confidential Ethics Hotline.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years practice experience, be admitted to practice in the State of Wisconsin or eligible for admission, possess strong legal research, writing, and verbal communication skills along with a working knowledge of matters related to legal ethics and professional responsibility law.
