Law Office Management Assistance Program Manager

We are seeking an outgoing individual who is ready for an exciting challenge to manage the State Bar of Wisconsin's law office management assistance program (LOMAP) designed to assist lawyers in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the delivery of legal services. The qualified candidate will have thorough knowledge of law practice management to include 3-5 years’ experience in law firm management or law office consulting; the ability to establish and maintain confidential relationships; a familiarity with current hardware and software solutions for efficient law office management. Degree in business management or related field required; MBA or JD preferred.

Major responsibilities include:

  • Provide confidential, timely, and informative advice and assistance to members and leadership by answering direct calls and replying to both direct and list serve email contacts regarding law practice questions. Topic areas include, but are not limited to: business planning, personnel, law practice management, and technology.
  • Act as liaison to the LOMAP advisory committee. Provide updates to committee on program activities and strategic goal landmarks. Guide committee in setting strategic goals which align with organizational goals. Assist in the development of meeting agendas.
  • Anticipate, plan for, and respond to member needs through program expansion, growth, and revision of priorities.
  • Create and manage program web content to meet member needs and maximize member use of Wisconsin specific online resources.
  • Create and present practice management programming through SBW PINNACLE Division, for SBW Sections, and to local and specialty bars, and other audiences as appropriate.
  • Develop and cultivate a network of professionals in all areas of practice management and law office technology, both in Wisconsin and nationwide, to act as mentors, colleagues, associates, and member resources.

Some travel required (up to 20%) mostly in-state.

Fulfillment & Facility Assistant

The State Bar of Wisconsin is in search of a dependable, energetic individual to assist in packing and shipping of State Bar products and materials, processing daily invoices, and receiving deliveries. In addition, this position will assist in meeting room set-up, perform light facility maintenance to include misc. building repairs, touch-up painting, changing bulbs, light electrical and plumbing, watering flower beds, etc.

Successful candidate will possess:

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, adjusting starting and ending time to accommodate meeting schedules
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Highly organized, with an eye for detail
  • A desire and ability to deliver high-quality customer service
  • Proven experience functioning as a member of a successful team
  • Valid Wisconsin drivers license
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs.
  • Previous facility maintenance experience desired
  • Forklift certification desired, but not required

We have a full-time, 40 hour per week position and a part time, 30 hour per week position available; please specify preference.
