The Public Interest law Section is seeking nominations for the Outstanding Public Interest Law Student Award for the U.W. and Marquette Law Schools. The criteria used for determining the Public Interest Law Student of the Year include:
- a demonstrated commitment to working in the public interest;
- public interest involvement before and during law school;
- exceptional volunteer work or activism in their community, the community at large, or the law school community;
- and a commitment to helping others.
All letters of nominations should include a brief description of the nominee’s public interest work, and an explanation of how it reflects the criteria listed above.
