    Jacqueline L. Messler, Marquette 2012 cum laude, has joined Weiss Berzowski Brady LLP, Milwaukee, as an associate, focusing on business law, estate planning, and tax law. She previously clerked for Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Annette Ziegler.

    Angela A James, U.W. 2000, has joined the Madison office of Michael Best & Friedrich LLP as senior counsel in the environmental practice group and the energy and sustainability industry team. She previously was vice president of government relations with the Wisconsin Paper Council. Anthony C. Marino, Texas 1997 Order of the Coif, has joined the firm’s transactional practice group in the Milwaukee office. He previously was associate general counsel with Stark Investments.

    Timothy S. JacobsonTimothy S. Jacobson, Marquette 1992, has launched Visjonær Consulting & Communications LLC, 111 Doc Mac Dr., Boscobel, to assist nonprofit organizations with marketing, fundraising, and strategic planning.

    The Law Office of John J. Leunig has moved to the Wells Fargo Plaza, Suite 815, 7900 Xerxes Ave. S., Bloomington, Minn.

    Appointments, Elections

    Michael W. Drumke, U.W. 1991, has been named chair-elect of the ABA’s Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section. He focuses on toxic tort litigation, product liability, class action defense, and commercial litigation and business disputes at Swanson, Martin & Bell LLP, Chicago.

    Jerome G. Grzeca, Marquette 1988, has been named chair of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) Department of States Liaison Committee, overseeing consular affairs for the AILA. He is the founder and managing partner of Grzeca Law Group S.C., Milwaukee, an immigration law firm.

    Kay Hunt, Marquette 1981, and Dan Young, William Mitchell 1990, have been elected to two-year terms on the board of Lommen, Abdo, Cole, King & Stageberg P.A., a trial, business, and entertainment law firm with offices in Minneapolis, Hudson, Wis., and New York City.

    Adam R. KonradBenjamin T. KurtenReinhart Boerner Van Deuren s.c. shareholders Adam R. Konrad, Cornell 2005, and Benjamin T. Kurten, U.W. 1997, have been elected to the State Bar’s International Practice Section board. Konrad is with the business law, international, and tax practices. Kurten chairs the firm’s immigration law group and is with the labor and employment and international practices.

    The Hon. Joseph Voiland, Marquette 2002, was elected to the Ozaukee County Circuit Court.

    Bill Weigel, Marquette 1984, has been elected to the ABA’s Government and Public Sector Lawyers Division council. He is litigation counsel with the Office of Lawyer Regulation, Madison, and municipal judge for the city of Verona.

Notices about State Bar members in good standing are printed as space is available, and at no cost, must be submitted in writing, and may be edited. Questions: (608) 250-6139.

    Photo placement: Submit a professional-quality photo. If the photo is used, the State Bar will issue an invoice ($30 each). Group photos are not accepted. High-resolution electronic photos are preferred.
