Wisconsin Circuit Court website called one of nation's top ten
Sept. 1, 1999 - The Wisconsin court system Web
site's link to circuit court cases has been cited as one of the ten best
in the nation by a consortium of justice experts.
The link, Wisconsin
Circuit Court Access (WCCA) is part of the Wisconsin court system
Web site. WCCA is a relatively new addition to the Web site, and permits
users to access information on circuit court cases statewide by tapping
into the Circuit Court Automation Program (CCAP) database. A count taken
during August 1999 showed 120,000 searches conducted on WCCA in just one
day.
Justice Served bestowed
the award naming WCCA number eight of the top ten. The group wrote of
WCCA: "This excellent site provides access to civil, criminal, probate
and other types of cases for circuit courts in Wisconsin. Calendar and
docket access are also provided. It has a very good help system."
Justice Served is an alliance of court management and justice experts
providing management services, consultation and training to courts,
justice agencies and their partners in technology, with particular
emphasis on aiding courts in the migration of court services to the
World Wide Web.
