    Wisconsin Law Foundation Inducts 2006 Class of Fellows

    MADISON, Dec. 5, 2006 – The Wisconsin Law Foundation, the charitable arm of the State Bar of Wisconsin, recently inducted thirteen Wisconsin lawyers into the 2006 Class of Fellows. The Wisconsin Law Foundation’s Fellows Program was instituted in 1999. Its purpose is to honor accomplished State Bar of Wisconsin members who have made significant contributions to their communities, offer quality educational programs to foundation members, and raise additional funds for the Wisconsin Law Foundation.

    Steve Sorenson, Fellows Board of Trustees president said, “The individuals who are elected to the Fellows are not only outstanding lawyers but also individuals who have contributed significantly to their communities, to the legal profession, and to the rule of law.”

    Fellows of the Wisconsin Law Foundation Class of 2006: Attorney Christine Bremer-Muggli, Wausau; Attorneys Richard Podell, Joseph Kearney, Dennis Coffey, Scott Hansen and Dennis Purtell, Milwaukee; Attorney Jon Axelrod, Madison; Attorney Charles Hanson, La Crosse; Attorney Robert Burns, Green Bay; Attorneys James Macy and Edward Williams, Oshkosh; the Hon. C. A. Richards, Hudson; and Attorney Keith Zehms, Eau Claire.

    The Class of 2006 is the seventh class inducted to the Fellows program increasing membership to 174. Inductees are nominated by current Fellows members and elected by the Fellows Board of Trustees.
