Attorney Kevin Klein to Be Sworn in as State Bar President
Encourages Volunteerism and Leadership Among Lawyer
Colleagues
Wisconsin Dells, WI – On Wednesday, June 13 at 5:00
p.m., Attorney Kevin G. Klein of Phillips will be sworn in as
State Bar of Wisconsin President during the organization’s annual
meeting on June 13 at the Chula Vista Resort in the Wisconsin Dells.
Klein will serve a one-year term beginning July 1, 2012. He will succeed
Attorney Jim Brennan of Milwaukee.
Klein will encourage fellow attorneys to help shape the future of the
legal profession through volunteering with organizations like the State
Bar.
“Leadership can take many forms. I encourage members to accept
leadership roles at the local bar level, as well as at the State Bar
level. And that can be done simply by active participation,” said
Klein. “Leadership is about being decisive in a productive and
positive way, so that things are accomplished through teamwork and
consensus.”
Klein is a 1981 University of Wisconsin Law School graduate who has
been a sole practitioner serving clients in Price and neighboring
counties. He has served in a variety of senior State Bar leadership
roles, including positions on the Board of Governors and its Executive
Committee. He is also the Butternut Village Attorney, president of the
Price County Bar Association and is involved in other community groups,
including the Phillips Chamber of Commerce Board, the Flambeau Hospital
Foundation, and the Price County Women’s Health Alliance.
