Dec. 2, 2015 – Twenty-four teams from throughout the Midwest will be in Madison to compete for the opportunity to represent their law school in the National Trial Competition.
The U.W. is looking for attorneys and judges interested in judging this competition.
Wisconsin High School Mock Trial Needs Attorney Volunteers, Too
The Wisconsin High School Mock Trial Program brings our legal system to life for thousands of students. Attorney volunteers are needed as judges at the regional and state tournaments in February and March – sign up by Jan. 18, 2016.

The National Trial Competition is considered to be one of the premier law school trial competitions in the country, and is sponsored by the American College of Trial Lawyers and the Texas Young Lawyers Association.
The competition will take place at the Dane County Courthouse, with each trial lasting approximately three hours. Volunteers will be given all of the information and training needed to judge the competition.
Volunteers can receive up to four hours of CLE credit for judging the competition. This also is a wonderful opportunity to work with law students eager for feedback from practicing attorneys and judges.
The trials will take place on the following dates and times:
- Friday, Feb. 19 – 6 to 9 p.m.
- Saturday, Feb. 20 – 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- Sunday, Feb. 21 – 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
