    Attorney Patrick J. Fiedler to Be Sworn in as State Bar President

    Madison, WI – On Wednesday, June 12 at 5:00 p.m., Attorney Patrick J. Fiedler of Madison will be sworn in as State Bar of Wisconsin President during the organization’s annual meeting at the Madison Marriott West in Middleton. Fiedler will serve a one-year term beginning July 1, 2013. He will succeed Attorney Kevin G. Klein of Phillips.

    Attorney Fiedler is currently a partner at Axley Brynelson, LLP, where he specializes in litigation and alternative dispute resolution. During his career, he has worked in both private practice and in the public sector. His distinctive background in government has included serving as Dane County Circuit Court Judge, Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, and as Waukesha County Assistant District Attorney.

    During his address to State Bar members, Attorney Fiedler will speak to his colleagues on what a true honor it is to be a lawyer.

    “Through taking initiatives on projects revolved around diversity, leadership, education and community involvement, we will be able to better the legal profession and strengthen our pride in being lawyers,” Fiedler said. “This pride in our profession works to the benefit of the clients we serve.”
