June 1, 2010 – Over the next few weeks, the State Bar will begin using its new logo with the tagline – Your Practice. Our Purpose.™ – on its communications, publications, and other materials.

“The new graphic identity carries a simple message that reinforces the State Bar’s commitment to bringing products and services that help you excel in your practice and fulfill your public service obligations, delivered with a standard of service you expect from this organization,” says State Bar Executive Director George Brown.

“Our new graphic identity does not represent a polar shift from the goals and mission that the State Bar has long embraced,” says Brown. “While variations of the scales logo has served this organization well for decades, the new logo and accompanying tagline better reflect our renewed focus on and service to our members.”

“From start to finish, nearly 1,200 members provided input that lead to the selection of this logo and tagline,” according to Brown.

The new graphic identity, which will be phased in over time, is a contemporary rendering of a pillar. Two horizontal bars and three vertical bars combine to establish and represent the strength of the profession, pillars of justice, and even the architecture of the State Bar Center, says Brown. The stylized base – the three vertical bars – can also be read as a “W” for Wisconsin. The typeface is modern, crisp, and clean – more reflective of an organization that is proud of its national reputation for innovation and service.

“While the State Bar has worked to earn this reputation, it has set the bar even higher,” comments Brown. “To what, you may ask? The answer is simple – Your Practice. Our Purpose.™”

And, a new name for State Bar CLE – PINNACLE™

On June 1, professional education offerings, books, and other resources produced through State Bar CLE also will don a new name, PINNACLE™, and tagline, Reach New Heights In Your Practice™.

“It is more than a new name for the State Bar CLE,” says State Bar CLE Director Bill Connors. “It emphasizes our commitment to provide the highest quality Wisconsin-focused professional development and practice resources available.”

“Whether you are looking for seminars to enhance your knowledge or refine your skills while earning CLE credits, system books and forms to help you increase your efficiency and accuracy, or videos to help prepare your clients or train your staff, PINNACLE will deliver.”
