Aug. 4, 2010 – Eleven Wisconsin teachers traveled to James Madison's Montpelier estate in Virginia to participate in a We the People Summer Seminar from July 19 - 22. They explored key questions from the We the People textbook, such as: What are the philosophical and historical foundations of the American political system? and How did the framers create the Constitution? We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution is a comprehensive civics, history and social studies curriculum for upper elementary, middle and high school students and is one of five law-related education programs sponsored by the State Bar of Wisconsin and the Center for Civic Education.
