Oct. 6, 2010 – The CLE Books UnBound™ search function is now powered by Google. Books Unbound is the subscription-based online library of State Bar of Wisconsin PINNACLE books.
Basic search
A basic search result includes a title that links to a webpage, a short description or an actual excerpt from the webpage, and the URL. The Google search engine ranks its results so that the most relevant result appears first. Type your search terms in the search box. Select “this book” or “all books” from the dropdown menu. Then click “Search.”
Google highlights your search terms. The first item is the most relevant match Google found, the second is the next most relevant, and so on down the list. Below the title is a description of the book section and excerpts from the book. Your search terms appear in bold to make it easier for you to decide if the page has what you are looking for. Clicking on the title of any result takes you to the first place your search terms appear in that book. Your search terms are highlighted for ease of scrolling and reading.
With direct links to the Fastcase database, the State Bar member benefit that offers online access to free legal research, Books Unbound™ allows users to link directly to reference material found within a publication’s text. Once within a case, you can infinitely link to all the other cited cases, without interrupting your research flow. All Books Unbound™ subscribers have access to the infinite Fastcase linking.
View the list of titles and preview for each title through the first chapter, including the table of contents and other preface material. Users must login to the WisBar for the free preview.
