Oct. 19, 2011 – Will your listing in the 2012 Wisconsin Lawyer Directory™ be correct and why should you care? Because it’s your connection to Wisconsin’s legal community and the community’s connection to you.
The print directory, published in January, offers listings of Wisconsin lawyers and law firms; listings of courts, court personnel, and selected state offices; information on the State Bar, law-related agencies, and legal vendors; and the Lawyer-to-Lawyer Directory.
All Wisconsin-licensed attorneys are entitled to receive one free Wisconsin Lawyer Directory. Members who have no need for the print publication can choose not to receive it. Contact the State Bar by Dec. 9 to communicate your desire to opt out.
Perhaps you prefer the print copy, pre-order extra copies for your home or office before Dec. 16 and receive discounted prices.
Why verify your listing?
Updating your listing for the print directory also updates your listing on WisBar® Lawyer Search, which is one of the top WisBar features used by lawyers and others to find State Bar members.
Updates are quick and easy
Verification forms were mailed this week; however, it is easy to ensure the accuracy of your listing right now by checking WisBar’s online Lawyer Directory. To make changes, select listing incorrect and log in to myStateBar.
The first time you log in, your user name is your email address or your State Bar membership number. Your password is the first four letters of your last name and your date of birth (smit07061955). Be sure to verify or add your email address to your listing. You can also add your firm’s Web site address, which will appear only in the online Lawyer Search Directory. To make changes by phone, call customer service at (608) 257-3838 or (800) 728-7788. Changes submitted after Nov. 14 may not be reflected in the 2012 directory.
Order extra directories
The lowest price, $21.60, which is 28-percent off the regular member price of $30, is available through automatic supplementation service only. Subscribers will receive an annual notice in mid-October and can change the number of directories ordered. For non automatic supplementation service subscribers, extra copies are available for $24 ($6 off the regular member price) if ordered before Dec. 16.
To order extra copies, use the form accompanying the law office verification mailing (to be mailed in early October), call the State Bar, or order online.
