Final Order 17-04: Petition to Amend Supreme Court Rules Regarding State Bar Mandatory Dues

On April 25, 2017, Attorney Steven Levine filed a rule petition to repeal and replace SCR 10.03(5)(b) with a newly created SCR 10.03(5)(b)-(e) and to amend SCR 10.03(6). The proposed changes would require the State Bar of Wisconsin to establish a bifurcated annual budget. It would restructure the State Bar’s budget to limit and designate how mandatory bar dues could be used.

    ORDER ISSUED: April 12, 2018

    DISPOSITION: Petition denied.
