Are you a solo practitioner or a small-firm attorney? You may be eligible to apply for a scholarship to the 2015 Wisconsin Solo & Small Firm Conference, Oct. 22-24, in Wisconsin Dells.
Aug. 5, 2015 – Thinking about attending the 2015 Wisconsin Solo & Small Firm Conference in October but can’t muster the funds?
The Solo/Small Firm & General Practice Section is again offering scholarship grants to help Wisconsin solo and small-firm attorneys with the cost of conference registration.
2015 Wisconsin Solo & Small Firm Conference Info
Watch the conference website; more information will be available soon about the Wisconsin Solo & Small Firm Conference, including the conference program, networking events, and registration information.
The conference is Oct. 22-24 at the Kalahari Resort in the Wisconsin Dells.
Preference for the scholarships will be given to solo practitioners and small-firm attorneys who would otherwise be unable to attend the conference due to financial constraints. Scholarship winners are responsible for their own travel and lodging costs, but the section will pay their conference registration fee.
In order to continue to fulfill the mission of the Solo & Small Firm/General Practice Section, scholarship recipients will be expected to “pay it forward” through future volunteer service to section by assisting with conference planning and/or serving on either the section board or a board subcommittee.
Interested attorneys should complete the application by Sept. 4, and submit it to grant committee chairperson Roberta A. Heckes by email at truckrlawr@aol.com; by mail at P.O. Box 295, Adell, WI 53001; or by fax at (920) 994-2885.
Recipients will be notified by Sept. 21 so that they have enough time to plan to attend the conference.
