The Annual Wisconsin Association of Legal Administrators (WALA) Conference comes to Pewaukee on Friday, Sept. 20. Choose from five breakout sessions at the day-long event at the Milwaukee Marriott West.
Sept. 4, 2013 – The Wisconsin Association of Legal Administrators (WALA) will hold its day-long Annual Conference of Education on Friday, Sept. 20, at the Milwaukee Marriott West in Pewaukee.
Author, consultant, and attorney Bob Crumley will open the conference with his three-simple yet difficult rules of success in his keynote speech, “See the End First.” Crumley will close the event with “The Next 30 Years: Baby, You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet.”
Breakout sessions will be offered on topics such as file retention, including rules for lateral attorney hires; the results of a law firm financial benchmarking survey; building people-centered organizations; and a guide to “hidden hands and ready resources.” There also will be a moderated roundtable discussion for those who manage large firms and a business partner exposition with 28 companies that support the legal industry.
The conference is free for WALA members, $75 for guests from firms employing a WALA member, and $100 for general attendees. Registration includes breakfast, lunch, refreshments, and all materials.
