Judge Jerilyn Dietz
Manitowoc County, Manitowoc
Judge Jerilyn Dietz is a circuit court judge in Manitowoc County, Wisconsin. She was elected to the bench in 2018, after a stint in private practice where she practiced primarily family law and guardian ad litem work in adult protective services and child protective services. Prior to that, she served as district attorney in Calumet County, assistant district attorney in Manitowoc County, and assistant district attorney in Kenosha County. She serves on the Wisconsin Judicial Commission for Child Welfare and the PPAC video conference subcommittee. Despite initial hesitation, she has come to embrace the role of technology in the courtroom, recognizing that because of it, she and her husband, who also works in the court system, somehow survived their elementary age children's school shutdown with their career and marriage intact. They do, however, have too many pets. Judge Dietz received her JD from University of Wisconsin Law School in 1994, and received degrees in international relations and political science from University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1999.
