    New Hires, Promotions, Partners

    Bryan M. Becker, Marquette 1998, has been named a partner in Howard, Solochek & Weber SC, Milwaukee, and continues to focus on creditors' rights law.

    John C. Chandler, DePaul 1975, has joined the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago as a senior assistant attorney in the real estate division and focuses on commercial real estate law. He previously was a shareholder with the Law Offices of John C. Chandler S.C., Kenosha.

    Kevin B. Cronin, U.W. 1970, participated in the Eastern Regulators Regional Association fall meetings in Tallinn, Estonia, in September, on behalf of the U.S. Agency for International Development (AID). He is assistant general counsel with the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin and an independent energy consultant to foreign countries.

    Thomas M. Domer, U.W. 1983, presented "Worker's Comp Ethics" and "Second Injury Funds - National Survey" at the Professional Education System's National Worker's Compensation Medical/Legal Conference in Las Vegas in February. He represents injured workers at Domer Law, Milwaukee.

    Sue Ehrmann Provenzano, U.W. 1995 cum laude, coauthored "Teaching in Reverse: A Positive Approach to Analytical Errors in 1L Writing," 39 Loyola Univ. Chicago Law Journal 123 (2007). She is an associate clinical professor of law at Northwestern University, Chicago.

    Foley & Lardner LLP attorneys Michael W. (Mick) Hatch, Yale 1974, and Bruce A. Keyes, U.W. 1990, are the 2008 recipients of the Gordon Sinykin Award of Excellence from the Wisconsin Law Foundation, in recognition of their restoration efforts in the Milwaukee area, particularly their contributions to the Menomonee Valley Partners Inc. and the Friends of the Hank Aaron State Trail Inc. Hatch is a partner and former chair of the firm's national real estate practice. Keyes is a partner in the environmental regulation and real estate practices and the golf and resort industry team.

    The School District of Random Lake has renamed its library in honor of John Hawley, U.W. 1982, who recently retired after 20 years' service as a member and president of the Random Lake Board of Education. He is with Hawley, Kaufman & Kautzer S.C., Random Lake.

    Frederick P. Kessler, U.W. 1966, received the Eunice Z. Edgar Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Civil Liberties Union of Wisconsin Foundation at its 2008 Bill of Rights Dinner in February. He is a labor arbitrator and redistricting consultant and a member of the Wisconsin Assembly.
