CLE Program Outlines How You Can Afford to Practice
Public Interest or Government Law
Perhaps you've wanted to pursue a legal career serving the public
interest, but you
can't afford to follow your heart. Or maybe you are serving the public,
but you're staggering under the weight of student debt. If so, you'll
want to attend Practice Public Interest (or Government) Law without
Going to the
Poorhouse.
The State Bar Public Interest Law (PIL) Section is presenting this
CLE program
at the State Bar Center on Oct. 27, 2008. Presenters will discuss the
College Cost
Reduction and Access Act of 2007 in detail and can answer questions
specific to the
attendees' personal situations. Attorneys working in or interested in
pursuing public interest
jobs (including prosecutors, public defenders, government attorneys,
and legal services
and nonprofit organization attorneys) are urged to attend.
Tuition is $50; PIL members can attend for free. To register, please
call the
State Bar of Wisconsin at (800) 728-7788.
