New Hires, Promotions, Partners
Hassan A. Allen, U.W. 2002, has joined the Los
Angeles office of Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P. as an
associate and focuses on business trial and litigation.
Matthew D. Kuehl, Miami 1999, and Eliza M.
Reyes, John Marshall 1997, have joined Brennan, Steil &
Basting S.C. Kuehl focuses on commercial and real estate litigation,
products liability, medical malpractice, personal injury, and general
litigation matters in the Lake Geneva office. He previously practiced in
Wisconsin and Illinois. Reyes focuses on creditors' bankruptcy matters
in the Madison office. She previously was a program attorney with the
State Bar of Wisconsin.
Robert J. Brill, Marquette 1992, has joined
Ziolkowski Patent Solutions Group SC as director of the Chicago office
and focuses on intellectual property counseling and a variety of patent
matters. He previously was with Patti & Brill LLC, Chicago.
Several attorneys have joined Cook & Franke S.C. Michael
Erhard, Cincinnati 1973, is a shareholder in the Madison office
and focuses on intellectual property and complex commercial litigation.
Jeffrey S. Sokol, U.W. 1990, a shareholder in the
Milwaukee office, is head of the intellectual property group, and
focuses on domestic and international patent and trademark prosecution,
infringement opinions, and litigation. Audra Bogdanski,
Marquette 2004, is an associate in the litigation group in the Milwaukee

Spencer E. Davczyk, Marquette 2001, and
Daniel R. Peters, Tulsa 2000, have been made partners
in Davczyk & Varline LLC, Wausau. Gottlieb John
Marmet, U.W. 2004, has joined the firm as an associate.
Jonathan A. Duecker, U.W. 1995, has been appointed
Assistant Commissioner (Counterterrorism) of the New York Police
Department. He previously was the director of the Pennsylvania Office of
Homeland Security.
Margaret A. Fischbach, Hamline 1997, has joined
Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, as
director of operations.
Susanne Glasser, Minnesota 1995 with honors, has
joined M. Sue Wilson Law Offices P.A., Minneapolis, as an associate and
focuses on family law.

Rebecca A. Holzhauer, Marquette 2003, has become a
staff attorney with the office of Thomas J. King, a Chapter 13 standing
trustee, in Oshkosh. She previously was with Quad Graphics.

& Hofbauer S.C., Waukesha, as an associate, focusing on civil
litigation, commercial litigation, and insurance defense.
Virginia M. Bartelt, U.W. 1983 Order of the Coif,
has joined Hurley, Burish & Stanton S.C. (formerly Hurley, Burish
& Milliken S.C.), Madison, as a shareholder and focuses on real
estate, business, and estate planning matters. She previously practiced
in Middleton. Joe Cavitt, Kentucky 2001, and
Dean A. Strang, Virginia 1985, have also joined the
firm. Cavitt practices civil litigation with an emphasis in business and
employment. Strang, the first Federal Defender in Wisconsin, practices
trial- and appellate-level criminal defense.
Aaron Haase, Arkansas 2003, has been appointed
special assistant U.S. attorney for the Federal District of Nebraska. He
also is an assistant staff judge advocate at Offutt Air Force Base,
Nebraska.

Neil B. Posner, Marquette 1996, has joined the

P.C. as a principal and head of the policyholders' insurance coverage
department. He previously was a partner at Sachnoff & Weaver Ltd.,
Chicago.
Timothy A. Clark, Indiana-Bloomington 1995, and
Sara L. Urban, U.W. 1996, have joined the seminars
division of the State Bar of Wisconsin CLE department as program
attorneys. Clark previously was materials coordinator for the State Bar.
Urban previously was a clerk for the Hon. Paul B. Higginbotham.

Stephen Warch, U.W. 1991, has been promoted to
