Dino Antonopoulos, Marquette 2005, and Eric 
C. Duncan, U.W. 1989, have joined Cramer, Multhauf & Hammes 
LLP, Waukesha. Antonopoulos concentrates on corporate and real estate 
law. Duncan continues to focus on estate planning, probate, business, 
and real estate matters.

consumer bankruptcy, family law, and estate planning. She previously was 
a sole practitioner in Madison.
Alexandra B. Klass, U.W. 1992, has become an 
associate professor of law at the University of Minnesota Law School and 
focuses on environmental law, tort law, and property law. She previously 
was with Dorsey & Whitney LLP, Minneapolis, and the William Mitchell 
College of Law, St. Paul.

Mark A. Lambrecht, Marquette 2006, has joined Bolger 
Legal Group LLC, Milwaukee.
Steven J. Lownik, Marquette 1982, has joined Gatzke 
& Ruppelt S.C., New Berlin, as an associate and will continue to 
focus on worker's compensation, Social Security disability, and family 
law.
Lori A. Leonovicz, U.W. 2002 Order of the Coif, has 
joined the fraud section of the U.S. Department of Justice Criminal 
Division, Washington, D.C., as a trial attorney and focuses on 
international fraud matters. She previously was with Willkie Farr & 
Gallagher LLP in the firm's Washington, D.C., and Paris, France, 
offices.
Scott K. Petersen, Pepperdine 1993 cum laude, has 
joined Kirk Pinkerton P.A., Sarasota, Fla., and continues to practice in 
real estate, construction, probate, and commercial litigation. He

System, La Crosse. She previously had her own practice in Neenah and was

John J. Slein, Hamline 1984, has joined 
Nelson, Connell, Conrad, Tallmadge & Slein S.C. 
(formerly Nelson, Connell & Conrad S.C.), Brookfield, as a 
partner.
Christine Harris Taylor, Valparaiso 1988, has 
accepted new teaching and administrative duties as assistant director at 
Marquette University's Center for Dispute Resolution Education and 
continues her private arbitration and mediation practice. She previously 
was with Harris & Nelson LLC.
Nicolas E. Toft, Michigan 2003, has joined Blair 
Sterling Johnson Moody Martinez & Leon Guerrero, Hagatna, Guam, as 
an associate and focuses on commercial litigation, transactions, and 
intellectual property. He previously was an assistant attorney general 
for the territory of Guam.

Appointments, Elections
Donald L. Bach, U.W. 1974, has been elected vice 
chair of the Wisconsin Judicial Commission, which enforces judicial 
conduct standards and resolves complaints about judicial misconduct and 
disability. He is a partner with DeWitt Ross & Stevens S.C., 
Madison, and concentrates on business litigation.
Jack Bode, St. Mary's 1973, has been appointed to 
the Waukesha County Water Conservation Coalition. He is with the 
litigation and corporate practice groups in the Waukesha office of 
Godfrey & Kahn S.C.
Mindy Rowland Buenger, U.W. 2001, has been elected 
president of the Middleton Hills Neighborhood Association, Middleton.

The Hon. Michael N. Nowakowski, U.W. 1974, has been 
elected chair of the Committee of Chief Judges, whose members oversee 
administrative matters for the state's circuit court system. He is chief 
judge of the Fifth Judicial Administrative District and sits on the Dane 
County Circuit Court.
The Oneida-Vilas-Forest County Bar Association has elected the 
following officers: president - Patrick H. Finlan; vice

Angela M. Lai, U.W. 2004, spoke on "A Young Lawyer's 
Roadmap to the Ethical Hazards of Practicing Law in Other Jurisdictions"

Timothy F. Nixon, U.W. 1990, has coauthored 
Bankruptcy and Financial Restructuring Settlements and 
Negotiations (Boston: Aspatore Books). He is a shareholder with the

business finance and restructuring practice group.
Carlton D. Stansbury, Iowa 1990 with distinction, 
was a panelist for the "Hot Tips from the Experts" program at the ABA 
Family Law Section 2006 annual meeting in Honolulu. He is a shareholder

Jerry R. DeMaio, U.W. 2001, was a recipient of the 
U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) John Marshall Award for Litigation for 
his work on the prosecution and conviction of Al Qaeda conspirator Ahmed 
Abu-Ali. He is a trial attorney with the counterterrorism section of the 
DOJ criminal division, Washington, D.C.
Foley & Lardner LLP has received several honors. 
The firm was named to the 2006 BTI Market Movers list for its strategic 
approach to delivering legal services; received a 2006 CIO 100 Award 
from CIO magazine for its operational and strategic
