    In the News: Wisconsin attorneys hold ABA posts; represent Wisconsin in many entities

    Several State Bar of Wisconsin members selected for American Bar Association (ABA) leadership positions began their terms in August, at the conclusion of the 2003 ABA Annual Meeting. "The ABA recognizes the caliber of Wisconsin lawyers," says State Bar President and ABA member George Burnett. "Appointing or electing SBW members to serve at the national level is recognition of the talents of the State Bar of Wisconsin members."

    Wisconsin attorneys hold ABA posts; represent Wisconsin in many entities

    Several State Bar of Wisconsin members selected for American Bar Association (ABA) leadership positions began their terms in August, at the conclusion of the 2003 ABA Annual Meeting. "The ABA recognizes the caliber of Wisconsin lawyers," says State Bar President and ABA member George Burnett. "Appointing or electing SBW members to serve at the national level is recognition of the talents of the State Bar of Wisconsin members."

Hildebrand, DeWitt Ross & Stevens S.C., Madison, Board of Governors; Joan F. Kessler, Foley & Lardner, Milwaukee, Individual Rights and Responsibilities Section chair; Grant C. Killoran, Michael Best & Friedrich LLP, Milwaukee, state Bar delegate, House of Delegates; John Macy, Arenz, Molter, Macy & Riffle S.C., Waukesha, General Practice Section chair; Christina Plum, U.W. Law School, Milwaukee,YLD secretary-treasurer (will serve as YLD chair elect next year and chair in 2005; the YLD is the largest entity within the ABA); Peggy L.
