Jan. 18, 2012 – Technology is an integral part of every lawyer’s practice today, especially as courts move toward e-filing and the need to stay connected wherever we go increases. In this video, State Bar Practice Management Advisor Nerino Petro and State Bar Legal Writer Joe Forward discuss features and benefits of the Android-based Acer, Barnes & Noble's Nook Color™, and Amazon's Kindle Fire.

Petro says tablets are great for lawyers who want easy and immediate access to their information all the time without having to lug a laptop. Tablets are great in the office, on the road, or in court.

To help stay on top of technology, Petro recommends attending the ABA TECHSHOW, March 29-31, in Chicago. Petro is one of the presenters. He will speak about tablet wars, cloud computing, and an update on technology resources and “toys” available to lawyers and their staff.
