    Attorney – Estate and Trust Administration (Full or Part-Time)

    ​Milwaukee firm is seeking a talented attorney with a minimum of three years of relevant, broad breadth experience in estate/trust administration, with meaningful exposure to sophisticated estate and tax planning strategies for high-net-worth clientele. A CPA designation would be a plus. Open to a full or part-time position and have some flexibility to work remotely.

    Job responsibilities include:

    • Gathering, analyzing, reconciling and documenting information on the value and title of estate/trust assets, debts, and expenses

    • Communicating directly by phone and written correspondence with clients, other professional advisors, executors/trustees, beneficiaries and court personnel

    • Preparing and assembling initial drafts of Federal estate tax returns, Federal gift tax returns, Federal and State trust tax returns and related documentation (including trust and estate accountings) for review by supervising attorneys

    • Preparing court pleadings for probates and inheritance tax proceedings

    • Conducting legal research, including statutory, regulatory and case law research

    • Coordinating asset transfers involving financial accounts, business interests (e.g., corporate stock and LLC units) and real estate, and preparing related transfer documentation
