    Assistant General Counsel / Contracts Manager

    We are seeking an experienced attorney with contract negotiation/administration experience to join the team and be part of Symbiont’s fast-paced yet informal work environment. The candidate hired for this position will report to General Counsel and work closely with Symbiont’s Compliance Specialist, who is responsible for the Company’s multi-state licensing and registration requirements among other duties. This position allows for the possibility of a reliable schedule of part time and/or flexible work hours.

    Duties:
    With the leadership of General Counsel, the primary duties involve working with business development and project management teams on negotiating contracts with client and vendor representatives including contracts based upon Symbiont standard terms and other contracts, such as DBIA, Consensus Documents, EJCDC, and AIA contracts and/or negotiating client or vendor templates. Types of contracts include professional services, construction, design-build, and engineering-procurement-construction (EPC) contracts for services provided by Symbiont to the municipal, manufacturing (especially food & beverage) and green energy (biogas) markets. Other work assignments will include advancing the continuous improvement of Symbiont’s standard terms and conditions for service agreements with its clients, subcontractors, subconsultants, equipment vendors and other vendors as well as advancing Symbiont standard teaming agreements, master services agreements and non-disclosure agreements. Duties will also include continuous improvement of corporate policies and procedures, particularly related to contract administration.
