    VICE CHANCELLOR FOR LEGAL AFFAIRS

    The University of Wisconsin-Madison (UW-Madison) invites inquiries, nominations, and applications for its next Vice Chancellor for Legal Affairs (VCLA). The Vice Chancellor for Legal Affairs is the chief legal officer of the University, and as a member of Chancellor Rebecca Blank's executive leadership team the VCLA serves as senior counselor to the Chancellor and other university leaders across a wide range of university issues. The new VCLA should be able to manage and inspire legal and compliance teams at UW-Madison, as well as engage collaboratively with the broader public University of Wisconsin System and other important University partners. The VCLA should eagerly embrace new issues, diversity of views, and opportunities that will arise within this premier public university. The position is available beginning August 1, 2021.

    Founded in 1848 when Wisconsin achieved statehood, www.wisc.edu/ is the flagship campus of the University of Wisconsin System and a nationally ranked research institution. UW-Madison is a research intensive campus serving approximately 45,000 students and employing more than 22,000 faculty and staff members. The annual operating budget for the university in 2020-21 was over $3 billion.
