    Estate Planning Attorney

    JOB REQUIREMENTS: Nennig Law Offices, LLC is seeking to add an Associate Estate Planning/Probate Attorney to join our growing firm. In this role, you will meet with prospective clients for consultations as well as conduct document signing appointments. You will be responsible for ensuring that legal documents are appropriately drafted to meet the planning needs and recommendations for clients.

    RESPONSIBILITY AND DUTIES: Meet with prospective clients for consultations and gather all necessary information to draft estate plans; Conduct existing client meetings to discuss possible changes or upgrades to estate plans; Prepare flowcharts and design paperwork; Draft estate plans using WealthDocs software; Conduct document signing appointment with client, including notarization of all documents; Explain the plan to clients and answer any questions or address any concerns that they may have; Promptly respond to any client phone calls or e-mails; Keep detailed notes of all meetings and phone calls and make sure that notes are maintained inside the client file; Represent clients in probate and trust administration cases;  Appear in probate court when necessary; Regularly meet with attorney to discuss complicated client matters; Attend continuing legal education events; Attend networking events; Other duties and projects as assigned.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Law students who will be graduating in 2020 and have a “strong desire” to work in Estate Planning and Elder Law are encouraged to apply; Knowledge of income, gift and estate tax laws. Prior experience in Estate Planning as a clerk or paralegal is a plus; Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel and Outlook is required. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills; Top-notch organizational skills, time management, attention to detail, proofreading and grammatical skills; Ability to multi-task, exercise logical and proactive thinking and set priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment; and the ability to maintain confidentially for all clients and data.
