    Guardianship Support Center Managing Attorney

    The Greater Wisconsin Agency on Aging Resources, Inc. seeks an attorney licensed in Wisconsin to join the five-attorney staff of its Elder Law and Advocacy Center in the Madison office. This is a full-time, grant-funded position managing the Wisconsin Guardianship Support Center, addressing the needs of vulnerable adults, their families, health care and social service providers, long-term support systems, and adult protective services staff with the legal issues of guardianship, protective services, financial and health care advance directives, and mental health commitments.

    The attorney will staff a statewide telephone helpline providing neutral information on adult guardianship and related matters; collaborate with statewide partners and counties to promote and educate consumers on advance directives; draft quarterly newsletters on related topics; conduct at least 12 outreach presentations annually to professional and consumer organizations; moderate an interactive adult protective service professionals email listserv; maintain a program website with up-to-date consumer publications; participate in broad-based workgroups on guardian training and education; and prepare ready-to-use training materials.
