Job Summary: The Community Redevelopment Attorney will work in the 53206 and 53204 zip codes as part of a team dedicated to providing services for: 1) financial stabilization, wealth transfer, and capital investment (e.g., small business formation and affordable housing development); 2) stabilization of housing (e.g., eviction defense and home ownership); 3) enforcement of available legal remedies towards foreclosure prevention.

• Strong interpersonal skills involving interaction with a variety of stakeholders
• Exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and control deadlines
• Superior writing, editing, and research skills
• Ability to perform duties with independence and discretion
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative
• Participation in monthly community legal seminars
Minimum Qualifications:
• Juris Doctorate (JD)
• Admission to the Wisconsin State Bar
• Ability to read and write Spanish a plus, although not a requirement
• Licensure with the State of Wisconsin
• Two years prior civil legal experience
• Successful completion of background check
