    Lynn J. Bodi, U.W. 1987, has been elected to the board of trustees of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys. She is cofounder of The Law Center for Children & Families, Madison.

    James J. Casey Jr., Dayton 1988, has been elected to the board of the National Council of University Research Administrators and also is a select university delegate to the University-Industry Partnership Project. He is executive director of the office of sponsored programs at Cardinal Stritch University, Milwaukee.

    James Duvall, Minnesota 1978, has become Buffalo/Pepin County circuit court judge. He was appointed by Gov. Jim Doyle to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of the Hon. Dane Morey. Behnke, U.W. 1988, has been selected to join the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, whose membership is limited to attorneys with established expertise and a minimum of 10 years' experience in real estate law who observe high standards of professional and ethical conduct and have contributed to the improvement of real estate law.     T. Dennis George, U.W. 1966, received an honorary Doctor of Science degree from Northern Michigan University at the school's May commencement ceremony, at which he delivered the keynote address. He has a solo practice in Seattle, focusing on business counseling, litigation, mediation, and arbitration.

    Paul W. Humphrey, U.W. 1989, received a "Difference Maker" award from Mothers Against Drunk Driving for his commitment to the victims of alcohol-related motor vehicle accidents. He is a Dane County assistant district attorney.

    The Hon. Robert G. Mawdsley, Marquette 1975, has been named 2005 Judge of the Year by the Wisconsin chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates. The award recognizes a jurist who exhibits fairness, diligence, scholarship, and a willingness to treat litigants and lawyers with respect. Mawdsley is a Waukesha County circuit court judge.

    Michael Maistelman, Franklin Pierce 1994, has been named a "Rising Star of Politics 2005" by Campaigns and Elections magazine for his work representing Democratic candidates and organizations in election and campaign finance matters in Wisconsin. He is with the Law Offices of Michael S. Maistelman, Milwaukee.

    ABC for Health Inc. and Bobby Peterson, U.W. 1987, received a Good Samaritan Award from Edgewood College and Samaritan Counseling Center at a ceremony in May, in recognition of going above and beyond the call of duty in helping children.

    Jere D. McGaffey, Harvard 1961, received the 2005 Distinguished Service Award from the ABA Section of Taxation at a ceremony in May for his outstanding contributions to the section, the tax system, and tax education. He is a partner emeritus at Foley & Lardner, Milwaukee, where he focused on tax, estate planning, and business counseling.
