    Applications Sought for Milwaukee, Kenosha County Judicial Vacancies

    March 20, 2014 – Governor Scott Walker is seeking applicants for judicial appointment to two circuit court vacancies, one in Milwaukee County and one in Kenosha County. The deadline for the Milwaukee County vacancy is March 24; Kenosha is April 8.

    The new appointees will replace outgoing circuit court judges Karen Christenson (Milwaukee County, effective Aug. 1, 2014) and Wilbur Warren III (Kenosha County, effective Aug. 18, 2014). Both appointees would face elections in April 2015.

    To apply, interested individuals should submit a judicial application, found on Gov. Walker’s website at www.walker.wi.gov (select the “judicial application” button, after clicking “apply to serve” at the right-hand side of the page), together with:

    • a cover letter;

    • a resume (not to exceed two pages);

    • two writing samples; and

    • a list of three to four references.

    Application materials should be submitted via email to: govjudicialappointments@wisconsin.gov.

    Completed application materials for the Milwaukee County Circuit Court vacancy must be received no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, March 24, 2014.

    Completed application materials for the Kenosha County Circuit Court vacancy must be received no later than 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2014.
