Help Make Justice More Just – Legal Action Offers Free Training for Volunteer Lawyers Project, Oct. 30 – Nov. 7

Sept. 18, 2013 – The Legal Action of Wisconsin 2013 Volunteer Lawyers Project (VLP) fall training is just a few weeks away. The annual series of seminars in Pewaukee and Madison runs from Oct. 30 through Nov. 1.

The Volunteer Lawyers Project offers this training to recruit and support lawyers who provide pro bono legal services to low-income residents in the 39 southernmost Wisconsin counties. This is an especially important time to get involved in pro bono legal services while the number of people needing assistance increases and funding for legal services providers has been drastically reduced.

The VLP offers training at the Waukesha County Technical College in Pewaukee and the American Family Training Center in Madison. See box for dates and topics.

The VLP is grateful for American Family and the Waukesha County Technical College’s hospitality.

For more information about the VLP’s training program and the work of the Volunteer Lawyers Project, visit the VLP website or call (414) 278-7722 or toll-free (888) 278-0633.
