    2016 Annual Meeting & ConferenceFeb. 17, 2016 – Legal legend Paul Clement and political insider Amy Walter are the plenary speakers at the State Bar of Wisconsin 2016 Annual Meeting & Conference (AMC) in Green Bay, June 16-17.

    A Wisconsin native and State Bar of Wisconsin member, Clement served as the U.S. Solicitor General from 2005-2008, argued many key cases in lower courts involving challenges to the war on terrorism, and is currently a law professor at Georgetown University. Clement will speak at the opening plenary session Thursday, June 16, giving a firsthand account of the decisions and judicial philosophies of the Supreme Court under Chief Justice John G. Roberts – including major rulings on gun control, affirmative action, campaign finance regulation, abortion, capital punishment, gay rights, and criminal sentencing.

    Wisconsin native and State Bar member, Paul Clement served as the U.S. Solicitor General from 2005-2008 and is currently a law professor at Georgetown University.     Walter is the national editor of the Cook Political Report and former political director of ABC News. She will close the conference with a compelling analysis of the electoral process, congressional culture, and the Washington political scene.
