Jan. 18, 2012 – Alcohol Beverages Regulation in Wisconsin demystifies the complex skein of rules and legislation that regulate every aspect of the alcohol industry in Wisconsin, from production to purchase, from manufacture through taxation, transport, from storage to sale, up to and including who can buy it, how, and when. Numerous sources of law affect the alcohol industry, including state statutes, federal law, administrative code provisions, local ordinances, case law, and constitutional provisions. This book provides a centralized, coherent, and comprehensive review of each, organized in an easily accessible manner for use by lawyers representing retailers, distributors, and producers, and by anyone else who needs to understand the regulatory system.

Alcohol Beverages Regulation in Wisconsin is the work of attorney Aaron Gary of the Wisconsin Legislative Reference Bureau, who has graciously shared his knowledge with other members of the profession. The result is another PINNACLE book that deals with both theory and practice, sets out both the law and the concerns toward which that law is directed, and works theory and practice into a seamless whole. Most chapters are complete in themselves, but whenever a topic is sufficiently broad to require additional research and resources, the author directs readers to the best place for answers.

Alcohol Beverages Regulation in Wisconsin is published in print and via Books UnBound, the State Bar’s online subscription-based library of PINNACLE publications. Both formats offer practical guidance to help every Wisconsin lawyer untangle the regulatory web. In the Books UnBound edition, users can link directly to primary case and statutory law through Fastcase.
