Jury selection is one of the most consequential (and underestimated) phases of a trial. The decisions made during voir dire can shape the outcome of a case before the first witness takes the stand. This demonstrative program gives you a rare front-row seat to watch accomplished trial attorneys conduct voir dire in a live mock courtroom environment, then explain the strategy behind their decisions.
Observe plaintiff and defense attorneys each take a turn at jury selection for the same case, hear their reasoning, and watch as a presiding judge weighs in on strikes and objections. At the end of the program, the jurors themselves offer feedback — sharing their perspectives on attorney approaches and the questioning they experienced. It’s the kind of unfiltered insight you can’t get from a textbook.
The case: Two vehicles leaving the same parking lot collided at the rear. The plaintiff, age 59, suffered post-concussion syndrome as a result and was unable to return to a career in advertising and sales. The jury will be asked to evaluate both liability and damages. Follow this case to the
