    Cagle and Palmersheim Announce Bid for 2014 State Bar President-elect Post

    NEWS RELEASE
    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
    November 21, 2013

    Madison, WI – Attorney Ralph M. Cagle of Hurley, Burish & Stanton S.C., and Attorney Kevin J. Palmersheim of Haley Palmersheim S.C., both Madison residents, have accepted nominations to run for 2014 State Bar president-elect.

    The president-elect serves a one-year term before becoming president.

    The nominees for secretary are Attorney Sherry Coley of Godfrey & Kahn S.C. in Green Bay, and Matthew J. Duchemin of Quarles & Brady LLP in Madison. The secretary serves a two-year term.

    The nominees for Judicial Council are Attorney Catherine A. La Fleur of La Fleur Law Office S.C. in  Milwaukee, and Laura Skilton Verhoff of Stafford Rosenbaum LLP in Madison. The Judicial Council representative serves three years.

    The candidates were selected by the State Bar Nominating Committee, chaired by R. George Burnett of Green Bay. The attorneys who are elected will take office on July 1, 2014.

    The Board of Governors, the State Bar's policymaking body, will also elect governors in several State Bar districts, including 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, 14, and 16. Governors serve two-year terms. Learn more about the State Bar’s election process at WisBar.org.
