State Bar Honors Family Law Section for Major Donation to National Mock Trial 2014

    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Madison, WI – The State Bar of Wisconsin is recognizing its Family Law Section for its generous donation to the 2014 National High School Mock Trial Championship, which will be hosted by the State Bar in Madison next May.

The State Bar and its charitable arm, the Wisconsin Law Foundation, have set a $200,000 fundraising goal to help cover the cost of venues, awards, activities and materials for participants, who in recent years have hailed from 46 states, Guam, the Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands, and South Korea.

The Family Law Section is made up of more than 1,200 attorneys, guardians ad litem, family court commissioners, and judges from throughout Wisconsin who have a special interest in family law.  The Family Law Section is being honored as a Silver Gavel level sponsor ($10,000-$24,999).

“The Family Law Section is pleased to be a part of such an important event,” said Family Law Section Former Chair Anthony Menting. “The national competition draws hundreds of participants and their parents, and we are happy to be a part of the memories they are making as families.”

Attorney Menting encouraged other State Bar sections, law firms and individuals to donate.
