Webcast seminars offer State Bar members an option to attend select
CLE seminars right from their desktops. Webcast seminars - like live and
video seminars - are offered at a scheduled time, but viewers can attend
from their home, office, or even on the road. Webcast viewers receive a
live video stream via a link accessed through their computers. Slides
and seminar handout materials can be downloaded before the program
begins. Participants can submit their questions to presenters during the
program's interactive portion.
System requirements. If you want to attend a Webcast
seminar, your computer system must meet several requirements. It must
have a 4.0 or later version of Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet
Explorer, Windows 95, 98, or NT 4, and a sound card.

Viewing tips. While it is possible to register
minutes before a Webcast seminar begins, you will get more out of the
seminar if you don't wait that long. When registering the day of the
seminar, if possible, give yourself an hour to prepare. This will allow
enough time to review the system requirements listed above, test your
computer system, and download seminar materials. If you do register
ahead of time, don't forget to write down your login and password and
put them in a safe place.
