CLE Books releases new elder and disability law codebook

State Bar CLE Books has released its newest publication, Wisconsin Elder and Disability Law Statutes. This codebook compiles the most important Wisconsin statutes regarding the elderly and disabled. It features sections pertaining to guardians and wards, power of attorney for health care, do-not-resuscitate orders, trusts and trust fund investments, public assistance, access to health care records and confidentiality, and evidentiary privileges.

The book also includes the mental health commitment and protective placement statutes, rendering this volume a useful resource for criminal defense and juvenile law practitioners and guardians ad litem, in addition to elder law attorneys. Wisconsin Administrative Code provisions concerning Medical Assistance enhance the codebook's usefulness. Finally, a listing of relevant federal statutes and regulations provides additional guidance.

Like all CLE Books codebooks, Wisconsin Elder and Disability Law Statutes offers convenient topic headings and a detailed table of contents and index to enable users to find information quickly and easily. This codebook will be updated annually and will prove to be an invaluable resource for attorneys working with elder and disability law, mental health commitment, and protective placement.

Wisconsin Elder and Disability Law Statutes is the perfect companion volume to other CLE Books publications, including Advising Older Clients and Their Families, Vols. I & II, Guardianship and Protective Placement for the Elderly in Wisconsin, and the Guardian ad Litem Handbook.

The 300-plus-page book costs $30, plus tax, shipping, and handling. Purchasers who subscribe to the Bar's automatic supplementation service will receive a 10 percent discount on future editions.
