    Legal Action of Wisconsin celebrates 40 years of serving Wisconsin residents, invites lawyers to Milwaukee on April 25

    April 15, 2009 – Legal Action of Wisconsin, Inc. invites all Wisconsin lawyers to join their celebration of 40 years of fighting for equal justice for Wisconsin’s poorest residents. The anniversary celebration is Saturday, April 25, 2009, at the Midwest Airlines Center in Milwaukee.

    Honorary co-chairs for the event are Mayor Tom Barrett, Gov. Jim Doyle, and Congresswoman Gwen Moore.  In addition to messages from the co-chairs, John McGivern will offer humorous reflections on growing up in Milwaukee. The evening kicks off at 4:30 p.m. with cocktails, socializing, and a silent auction, followed by a buffet dinner.

    Legal Action is the largest provider of civil legal services in Wisconsin, serving low-income residents in the states southern 39 counties.  More details about Legal Action and the 40th anniversary celebration, including registration information and how to support Legal Action, are available at Legal Action’s website.
