The President’s Award recognizes lawyers who
have made a difference during the outgoing State Bar president’s
term.
“Jim Cole and Greg Van Rybroek have led Wisconsin Lawyers
Assistance Program (WisLAP) as it forged new programs to help lawyers
confronting the alcoholism, addiction, and mental illness so pervasive
in the legal community,” says State Bar President Diane Diel.
“The monitoring program for lawyers who are referred out of the
disciplinary system will help lawyers, the public, and the legal
community.”

“Mark Pennow has taken on the leadership of the Strategic
Planning Committee with a goal of making Strategic Planning a sensible
project,” says Diel. “He has succeeded in making the process
more creative and human, and in helping the State Bar better align the
work of all its committees, sections, and divisions across all Bar
goals.”
