    Nominations for 2015 Senior Lawyers Division Leonard L. Loeb Award Due Feb. 6

    Nov. 19, 2014 – Do you know a senior lawyer who has made significant contributions to the legal community? Do you know a senior lawyer who has shown respect for the legal system and demonstrated a love for the law? Do you know a senior lawyer who has demonstrated high ideals and personal character throughout his/her career?

    If you answered yes to these questions, nominate this lawyer for the Senior Lawyers Division 2015 Leonard L. Loeb Award. This award honors senior lawyers (60 years of age or older) who have made significant contributions to advancing and improving the legal system through their legal career and community volunteer activities.

    Past recipients include: James R. Cripe, Hon. Paul Gartzke, Ernest Hanson, John Hendricks, Allan Koritzinsky, Leonard L. Loeb (posthumously), Gerald O’Brien, Robert B. Peregrine, and Robert C. Skemp.

    The SLD will present the award at the Member Recognition Celebration on June 25, 5:30-7 p.m. during the 2015 State Bar Annual Meeting & Conference in Lake Geneva.

    Award Criteria

    Nominees considered will demonstrate the following: significant contributions to the legal community; respect for the legal system and a love for the law and what it seeks to accomplish; high ideals and personal character; involvement in community organizations; and participation in local and State Bar activities.

    SLD officers and board members are ineligible for nomination.

    Nomination Guidelines

    Send a letter of nomination, a resumé or similar document of your nominee’s qualifications, and three to five recommendation letters from individuals who are knowledgeable about the nominee’s qualifications that address one or more of the award criteria.
