ARBITRATION AWARD

The above-entitled parties, herein "Organization" and "City", are privy to a collective bargaining agreement providing for final and binding arbitration. Hearing was held in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, on January 7, 1994. The parties there waived the filing of briefs. The hearing was transcribed and the transcript was received on February 1, 1994.

Based upon the entire record, I issue the following Award.

AWARD

1. Patrol Officers may be assigned by the Chief to specialty assignments of Investigator and Drug Investigator.

2. Patrol Officers so assigned shall receive the rate of pay specified as "Corporal Staff" in the 1993-1994 Collective Bargaining Agreement, Appendix "A".

3. Incumbent Corporals assigned as Investigators as of June 23, 1993, shall continue to hold the rank of Corporal until promoted or transferred to a Shift Corporal position. If these positions are eliminated in the future, the Organization shall have the right to bargain over any such changes.

4. The incumbent Drug Investigator as of June 23, 1993, shall receive Corporal Staff pay rate retroactive to the date of that person's initial assignment.
