In the Matter of the Arbitration
of a Dispute Between
WISCONSIN PROFESSIONAL POLICE
ASSOCIATION/LAW ENFORCEMENT EMPLOYEE
Mr. Steven Urso, on behalf of the Association.
Mr. Gerald E. Lang, Personnel Director, on behalf of the County.
The above-entitled parties, herein the Association and County, are privy to a collective bargaining agreement providing for final and binding arbitration. Pursuant thereto, hearing was held in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, on September 8, 1992. The hearing was not transcribed and the parties there waived filing posthearing briefs.
Based upon the entire record, I issue the following Award.
Is the County required to pay call-in time for the time in issue?
Having heard the matter, and having reviewed the pertinent documentation, I issue the following
1. The County shall pay to the bargaining unit the sum of $5,750 which represents the total amount of the back pay claims it must pay.
2. The Association will be given the opportunity to examine pertinent County records before a determination is made as to how much of the $5,750 is to be paid to each bargaining unit employe.
3. As this Award represents the final disposition of this controversy, the Association's other claims are hereby dismissed.
Dated at Madison, Wisconsin this 17th day of December, 1992.
Amedeo Greco, Arbitrator
