President-elect post goes to Kammer, Pennow wins secretary, Hanan wins Judicial Council
Douglas W. Kammer, Kammer & Studinski Chartered, Portage, won the race for State Bar president-elect, defeating Thomas W. Bertz, Anderson, O’Brien, Bertz, Skrenes & Golla, Stevens Point and Kenneth A. Knudson, Knudson, Gee & Torvinen S.C., Superior. Kammer received 1,871 votes, Knudson received 1,764 votes, and Bertz received 1,646 votes.

Judicial members to pay Public Interest Legal Services Fund
On March 25, the Wisconsin Supreme Court extended to judicial members a $50 annual assessment to provide funding for civil legal services for people who cannot afford an attorney.
