Board approves collecting diversity data this spring
At its March 1 meeting, the Board of Governors approved a request to collect ethnic and racial diversity data from State Bar members. It also supported petitions to adopt a code of ethics for court reporters and to provide guidance to court staff assisting court users. The board also heard a report from the Office of Lawyer Regulation on efforts to reduce the pending caseload and discussed a resolution from the Legal Assistance Committee regarding pro bono reporting (see article on page 2).
