Board opposes petition for voluntary dismissal, approves resolution on unauthorized practice of law

At the Jan. 17 meeting, the Board of Governors opposed a court of appeals petition seeking discretion to dismiss an appeal, approved a petition regarding the unauthorized practice of law (UPL), and agreed to seek member feedback and consider joining an amicus in support of the University of Michigan Law School admissions process (see related article), among other actions.
