Day in Washington – State Bar leadership meets with Congressional
delegation
Representatives from State Bar leadership recently joined with
members from bar associations nationwide during the ABA's annual lobby
day in Washington, D.C. State Bar representatives went to Capitol Hill
to speak with Wisconsin's Congressional Delegation on legislation that
directly impacts the legal profession and the administration of
justice. State Bar leadership focused on the following three
issues of importance during meetings with each of Wisconsin's
10-member Congressional delegation: 1) Legal Services Corporation
Funding; 2) H.R. 1423/S. 825, Legal Services Benefit Act; and 3)
Guaranteed Legal Assistance for Low-Income Military Families.
