    Farheen AnsariFarheen Ansari, Marquette 2009, has joined the Harris County District Attorney’s office, Houston, Texas, as an assistant district attorney. She previously practiced criminal defense and family law at her solo firm AF Law, Madison.

    Laurie Bigsby, Valparaiso 1988, has rejoined Horizons Law Group LLC, Brookfield, concentrating in student loan litigation/mitigation and consumer litigation, probate, and Chapter 13 bankruptcy.

    Delanie Breuer, U.W. 2011 with honors, has been appointed assistant deputy attorney general for the Wisconsin Department of Justice. Breuer previously was an executive assistant with the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin.

    Adam E. Crawford, U.W. 2008 cum laude, has joined Assurant Health, Milwaukee, as senior counsel in the litigation group. He previously was with Foley & Lardner LLP, Milwaukee.

Busch previously was with Michael Best & Friedrich LLP. Also joining the firm as of counsel is litigator Sarah Troupis Ferguson, Notre Dame 2006, in the firm’s Middleton office.

    Sandra L. Hupfer, U.W. 1984, has been promoted to director of casualty claims at SECURA Insurance, Appleton. Hupfer manages the casualty department and directs claims and lawsuit handling in 12 states. In May 2014 she obtained her Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.

    John C. Mitby, U.W. 1971, and Patrick J. Fiedler, Marquette 1980, have joined Hurley, Burish & Stanton S.C., Madison. Mitby focuses on business, construction, real estate, and litigation. Fiedler focuses on litigation and alternative dispute resolution.

    Todd D. Jex, Wayne State 2000, has joined Sperling Law Offices LLC, Milwaukee, and focuses on plaintiff’s personal injury and nursing home litigation, construction law, and commercial and residential real estate. He previously worked for Crivello Carlson S.C.

    Kristofor L. Hanson, Marquette 2005 cum laude, and David C. McKone, Marquette 1992, have joined Lindner & Marsack S.C., Milwaukee, as shareholders. Hanson represents employers in labor and employment law matters. McKone practices in insurance litigation, concentrating in worker’s compensation.

    Tim Lundquist, U.W. 2011, has been named director of government and public affairs at the Wisconsin Association of Health Plans. He previously was a legislative aide in the Wisconsin Assembly.

    Mergers, Relocations, New Offices

    Gierke Frank LLC has changed its name to Gierke Frank Noorlander LLC and has moved to 1011 N. Mayfair Rd., Suite 304, Wauwatosa.

    Hansen Reynolds Dickinson Crueger LLC has opened an office at 7600 Terrace Ave., Suite 201, Middleton. Jessica C. Mederson, Texas 2002, is managing partner. The firm focuses in litigation law for corporate plaintiffs and defendants.

    Twenty-three trial attorneys from Murnane Brandt, St. Paul, Minn., are forming HKM, a litigation firm with offices in St. Paul and in Bismarck, N.D., as well as at 31810 Crest View Dr., Suite 2B, Hudson. HKM focuses on litigation, in areas including aviation, class action defense, commercial, construction, employment, environmental, financial services and business, insurance coverage, product liability defense, real estate, toxic torts, and transportation.

    Rod Rogahn, U.W. 1996, and Daniel Kelly, Regent Univ. 1991, have formed Rogahn Kelly LLC, N16W23233 Stone Ridge Dr., Suite 270, Waukesha, focusing on commercial, merger and acquisition, employment, dealership and franchise, and construction litigation; general business; business torts; product liability; director and officer liability; and campaign finance and elections.     Christopher Stombaugh, Drake 1992, has cofounded Stombaugh, Smith & Co., Towson, Md., allied with Next Research LLC and Next Trial Innovation LLC and focusing on trial, negotiation, and legal consulting services.

    Appointments, Elections

    Jack Enea, Marquette 1989, has joined the board of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee. He is coleader of the trusts and estates team and a member of the corporate transactions and agribusiness teams in the Milwaukee office of Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C.

    Daniel Miske, DePaul 1985, has been elected to the board of Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C. He is a shareholder in the firm’s Milwaukee and Madison offices and concentrates in the areas of Wisconsin condominium, homeowner association, real estate, and business law.

    Charles Stone, Marquette 2009, has been named associate general counsel of the American Chamber of Commerce, Beijing, China. He will continue to be an associate in the Beijing office of Reed Smith LLP.

    Michael C. Griesbach, Marquette 1986, has authored The Innocent Killer: A True Story of a Wrongful Conviction and its Astonishing Aftermath (ABA Book Pub’g, 2014). He is a Manitowoc County assistant district attorney.

    Awards, Degrees, Honors

    Walter H. White Jr., Berkeley 1980, received the 2015 Robert F. Drinan Award for Distinguished Service from the American Bar Association. White helped found the ABA Center for Human Rights, played an integral role in the ABA’s Individual Rights and Responsibilities Section, and was involved in groundbreaking efforts in the ABA’s relationship with lawyers in Russia. He is with McGuireWoods LLP, Washington, D.C.
